Sarah's visitors

Thank you to the family and friends who visited the hospital. Thank you for all of the wonderful presents too. She'll look adorable in her new outfits. April...these photos don't compare to the ones you took for us. We love them! Thanks for visiting.

Our nightly visitor

Each night, we have had a little guest visit on our patio door. I haven't figured out if Sophie likes him or not, but it has kept her entertained.

Water fun on a hot day

On the hot days, we spend most of our time in the backyard pool, but I decided to try a different water toy today. Matt got pretty good at the slip and slide. Julia would only try it if we turned the water off which doesn't make it very slippery. At least she liked going down the slide into Lilly's pool.

Happy B-day mommy

The kids got me a 4th of July cake for my birthday. Julia really liked the red frosting....she wears it well!

Matt loves his patient kitty.

Waiting for fireworks

We thought we would check out the White Bear Lake fireworks...I underestimated the crowd for this too. Thank goodness daddy had a great idea for finding a parking place or else we would have been walking quite a few blocks. Neither of the kids got scared of the fireworks so it was worth the wait.

Who wouldn't have fun building a couch cushion fort in the living room?

4th of July parade

We decided to stay in town this year for the 4th of July. We're used to going to a parade so we thought we would check out the Forest Lake parade. I underestimated the size of this parade. There were people lined up everywhere. Thank goodness one of mommy's PTO friends let us share their tent. This is a really long parade...I think we were there for almost 3 hours. We had a good time, but we get much better stuff at the Ely parade!

Last Day of T-Ball

Matt and daddy had a beautiful day for the last day of t-ball. Matt was really proud of his medal and the kids got freeze pops for a treat. Julia has been pretty patient for all of the games so she deserved a little treat too. As you can see, trying to get all of the kids to stand still and smile for a group photo was not going to happen.

Happy Father's Day

Jeff got to enjoy Doughnuts with Dad at daycare on Friday, the kids decorated a cake for him on Saturday and then he got presents on Sunday...talk about spoiled!

T-ball

Daddy stepped up to the plate...literally! He volunteered to coach Matt's t-ball team. How hard can it be to coach 21 kids who are 3-5 years old =-) Luckily, his assistant coach is very helpful. It can be dangerous...Jeff has gotten hit with numerous balls, a few bats, and tackled by all of the kids during warm ups. That's okay, having fun is the main priority. "GO GREEN!"

Matt helping Julia

Matt is always eager to help Julia with projects. Hopefully, it continues for a few more years.

S'mores

Who can say no to kids that want to have S'mores on a beautiful summer night ... obviously not us.

Petting Zoo

Mommy's favorite part of Good Neighbor Days is the petting zoo. The kids love being able to get close to the animals and feed them. Matt wasn't scared of any of them and Julia only got a little nervous when a whole bunch of them hoarded around her...good thing daddy was there to protect her.

Good Neighbor Days

Good Neighbor Days only happens once a year so we had to make sure Matt and Julia got to play games and ride on rides. Unfortunately, Julia can't ride too many rides yet, but with Daddy's help, she got to enjoy the big Dragon spinning thing. Matt is getting to be such a big boy because he wanted to do the big slide and go through fun house all by himself.

Good Neighbor Days Parade

It was a little smaller this year, but that doesn't mean the kids got less candy. I was pretty proud of Matt because he did a good job helping Jason collect candy too.

I think Julia takes after daddy

She loves to color and draw ... hopefully, she will get some of her daddy's artistic ability and not mommy's.
