Last night of T-Ball

Yesterday, Matt had his last night of T-ball. He was so proud of the medal. Amazingly, all of the kids got together for a brief moment to get a group picture. I don't think it will be his last huddle and "Go Team".

More T-Ball

Matt really likes to field the ball, but I like to watch him hit the ball. These little kids look so cute running with this big helmet on.

And we wonder why we're tired all of the time

The kids are still outnumbered by pets....that's because the pets don't talk back.

Welcome baby Jake

He arrived on July 21st weighing in at 8lbs. 10oz. What a big beautiful boy!

Bath time

Julia was trying to tell me she needed to be washed too.

Siblings

Right now, they enjoy playing with each other. I know there will be a day when they no longer want to goof around together in the living room so I have to capture these moments while they are here.

Fun at the MN Zoo

We finally had a chance to go check out the new bear exhibit at the MN Zoo. Those bears are huge and Matt loved to see him swim back and forth in front of the exhibit. I didn't realize there was so much to do at the zoo. I think we'll get our money's worth out of the membership.

T-Ball

Matt had his first t-ball practice. He had a great time! He hit the ball off of the tee, ran the bases and played catch with daddy. They were so cute when they got in a huddle at the end of the practice and yelled "Go Yellow Team". There is no better way to end a good practice than with a little play time on the playground. Needless to say, Matt won the race down the slide.

Como Town

Matt is getting pretty comfortable on the rides now. It won't be long before he is ready for the big roller coasters...then daddy can ride with him!

Como Zoo

Julia wasn't quite sure she wanted to sit next to the seal, but after Matt tackled it for her, she was all smiles.

A boy and his dog...how sweet!

Julia wants to go tubing already

The girls getting some sun

Patiently waiting for the Ely fireworks

Poor Julia, she was so tired, she could have cared less about the fireworks. Although, she did stay awake for all of them and didn't seem to be bothered by the noise at all.

Games at the park

After the parade, Ely has games in the park. The don't take much skill and you get a prize just for playing...what more could a kid ask for.

The cold water didn't bother Matt

Matt loved swimming in the lake. They tell me once you are in, it doesn't feel that cold anymore....I'll take their word for it.

Ely Parade

Ely's parade was another success. We filled a plastic bag and most of our backpack with treats. Next year, we are going to follow the Zup's truck the whole way down the street...they gave away full size Butterfingers, chips, cereal, tins of black pepper and chili seasoning.
