Grandma took a day off to spend with Matt and Julia. She really liked the card Matt made. Matt was really excited to show it to her. Like most of his projects, we had to wait a day or so for some of the glue to dry.
Sure, Spring means the kids get to finally play outside, but it also means the dogs do too. Lilly enjoyed running around in the back yard and is getting used to taking baths afterward too.
Matt was sooooo brave during his first hospital experience. First he got to wear cool outer space pajamas and then got a big boy bracelet. He held the mask over his mouth all by himself without fussing...that really impressed the doctors. Thank you grandma and Tom for Spongebob...it made recovery a little bit easier for him. The popsicles helped too. Finally, he got to ride in style on the big red wagon when we left. I think Matt might have actually enjoyed his first experience at the hospital.
Our little boy made us a cute little Valentine card! He also got tons of valentines from his friends at school. I'm starting to realize why he has 3 cavities! It turns out there was one sucker he didn't really like...gotta love the expression!
Uncle Mike and Aunt Connie brought Gryffun over for a playdate. Gryffun was turning 3 later that week so we decided to celebrate his 3rd birthday too. The boys had a great time playing together, making pizzas and eating a Dairy Queen cake. I don't know if they wore more of the cake than they ate!
Julia gives Matt a heart sucker, Matt puts on a puppet show, Julia's clowning around, and Matt concentrating on his valentine's day card to Daddy while playing dress up as a pirate. Calm and quiet..what's that?
Matt went to Hugo's second annual sledding party. They had hot cocoa and donoughts for everyone. A bonfire and lots of sledding. He even saw his friend Eric there. They had a blast!
