Havin fun at Alex's B-day party

Matt had a lot of fun at Alex's 3rd birthday party. He got to go on a hayride, pony ride, and had a great time playing with some of the other friends that were there. Mason, Alex and Matt seem to be pretty good friends...watch out when they get older!

Playdate with Gryffun

Matt had a great time playing with Gryffun. He did a pretty good job of sharing his toys and was even trying to help him put the bike helmet on correctly. The boys really wanted to see the cows again...too bad they didn't come around until later that night. Mommy was very happy after the playdate because Matt was asleep by 8:30 that night!

Fun at home

Sophie has become Matt's new favorite pet to snuggle with. I'm not sure that she likes it, but at least she is very patient with him. Matt was very proud of the homemade pizzas he and daddy made. It is a little messier than delivery, but definitely more fun!

Fun in the pool

The pool season has come to end, but Matt got to enjoy his pool for a few weeks. Can you tell those swimming lessons are really paying off!

Feeding the animals

As if he doesn't goesn't get enough opportunities at home to feed animals, Matt can't pass up a chance to feed a little goat at a small petting zoo.

New football watching chair

Football season has officially started and Matt got a recliner to relax in while watching the Vikings games. The cats are trying to claim it as theirs, but I'm not sure Matt is willing to share it yet.

Inside pictures of the "LC"

We forgot to get pictures of the inside of the new "LC" over the 4th of July weekend so we took some over Labor Day weekend. It looks pretty cool!

Beautiful Labor Day weekend

It was another beautiful weekend up north over Labor Day. We almost had more animals than people up there. Good thing uncle Mike doesn't mind the puppies because they all wanted to snuggle with him on the sofa. Matt is getting into a bad habit of wanting to roast marshmallows every time there is a fire. That wouldn't be so bad except there is a fire going almost all of the time. Matt is getting to be such a big boy, he even gets his own seat on boat rides now. He is also able to start playing cards at night. He taught uncle Mike a new game...it's called Zingo and it is quite addicting!

Camping in Matt's Room

It takes up a little space, but Matt likes to "camp" in his bedroom now. Hey, we figure whatever works to get him to sleep in his own room!

Mr. Fix It

Daddy is teaching Matt how to fix cars with pretend tools right now. We can't wait until he can actually help with the real cars.

Fun at the State Fair

It was a beautiful weekend and although many other people had the same idea as us, we decided to go to the State Fair on a Saturday. Matt got to ride a bus for the first time...he was pretty excited. We like the Birth Center at the Fair because there are all sorts of baby animals to pet. We just missed a baby cow being born by 5 minutes! Matt was a little shy around the police dog, but that dog was a gentle giant. Our mistake was to push Matt in the stroller for 5 hours and feed him mini donuts...he had a lot of energy to burn when we got home!
