Happy Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt in the Backyard

Yet another Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. Matt was usually ten steps ahead of Julia so we had to make sure he only found the blue eggs and Julia got to find the pink eggs. On a couple of occassions, he didn't want to wait for her so he thought he would "help" her by putting the pink eggs in the bowl. Good thing she doesn't mind when Matt "helps" her. We're going to have to find another color for Pumpkins eggs next year...I think I like purple.

More Easter Egg Hunt photos

A fire truck and police car were at the Easter Egg Hunt too. The photo of my kids in the back of a squad car better not be a sign of their future!

Easter Egg Hunt

Although it was a little cold, we decided to try another Easter Egg Hunt. It seems a little cold weather doesn't stop anybody in Minnesota...it was pretty crowded. I'm glad we went to this one...the kids had a great time and collected all sorts of eggs filled with candy of course.

Easter Bunny Photo

I guess it was a good thing we got a picture of Julia all dressed up with a cutout Easter Bunny instead of one in a suit because as you can see, she was not fond of the one we saw at the Easter Egg Hunt. Good news is Matt is no longer afraid of it!

The cows are back

It must be spring because the cows have come back or I guess it is more accurate to say some cows will be in the back. Good thing the kids don't quite understand why the cows look different each year. Julia likes to sit at the window and say "Moo Moo" to them!

Building a Bird House

It's finally getting nice out and the birds are looking very hungry so we thought it was about time we build the bird feeder Matt got for Christmas. He did a great job (with a little help from Daddy). Unfortunately, he doesn't want to put bird seed inside of it so right now it is sitting in the backyard empty...sorry birds, hopefully, Matt will let us fill it soon.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for our Easter treats!

Coloring Easter Eggs

The kids thought coloring Easter eggs was pretty fun. I didn't realize how much Matt liked hard boiled eggs...there are only two left and it is only Tuesday! We had to make sure we made one for each member of the family, including Pumpkin! I hope the colors aren't permanent because Julia dumped the pink cup on Lilly...the picture doesn't show it very well, but the side of her face is a little stained.

Cousin William's Birthday

Happy 3rd Birthday to William! I'm not sure what Matt liked more...the cake or ringing the train whistle at the bar. The restaurant was pretty cool because the train goes right by while you are eating. Of course, the boys thought that was pretty cool. Julia obviously liked the cake too, but she also had to take quite a few walks all over the restaurant to check things out.

Easter Pictures

We heard they were having free pictures with the Easter Bunny at Walmart. We got the kids dressed up and ready...turns out the Easter Bunny was just a cardboard cutout. Oh well, Julia might not have smiled if it were a real bunny.

Easter Egg Hunt

Even though it was cold and windy, we took the kids to a local Easter Egg Hunt. Each of them got 8 eggs filled with candy. In a few weeks, they'll go to the dentist...hopefully, she won't notice they have had a lot of candy lately.

Soccer

Matt wanted to try playing soccer so for the next 6 weeks, he will be giving it a try. Mommy was out of town for his first lesson, but it sounds like he likes playing (as long as he wins).

Finally, we can play outside

Daddy and Matt had the kite flying pretty high. Julia didn't show interest in the kite, but she likes to ride her toys.

Sword Fight

Julia is going to be a tomboy...Matt is teaching her how to fight already.

One of those too cute moments.
