Fishing on Memorial Weekend

Matt really likes fishing when your line is only in the water for a few seconds before a fish bites. Obviously, there were no keepers from this outing, but that's okay because the kids weren't scared to touch these little guys.

Playing nice together at the playground.

We're learning Julia has no fear when it comes to certain areas of the playground. Funny how the fake bears outside of Dairy Queen scare her, but a 8 foot ledge doesn't seem to bother her at all.

Fishing Opener Project

Daddy and Uncle Mike decided to make a new bench for the island. Thanks to a few fallen trees, this project "fell" into place =-)

Jake's Baptism

The kids had a great time playing after the service.

Matt did Julia's hair

I'm not sure if Matt will succeed in the cosmetology field, but at least his design was creative. Julia was so good, she just sat there and let him do it.

Daddy's Little Girl!

Matt's first small game hunting license.

I'm not sure who was more excited...Matt or Daddy?

It is officially wood tick season.

Julia had her first wood tick. Good thing she doesn't really understand how gross they are because she handled it like a pro.

Matt pretending to be Wolverine

I let him pick out a toy when we went shopping for a friend's birthday present. Next time I obviously have to put a limit on the size and dollar amount because he convinced me the Wolverine glove was what he has always wanted (I'm a sucker!).

Mother's Day

My nurse from the Diabetes Clinic gave us a suggestion for Mother's Day brunch. Jimmy's in Vadnais Heights was very nice, although we ate way too mcuh. Thanks to the kids (with daddy's help) for making me a cake at Rainbow too!

Muffins with Mom

Thanks to daycare for having Muffins with Mom and thank you to my wonderful kids for the presents!

Getting to be a big girl

I can't believe Julia is already showing interest in the potty. When did she get to be such a big girl =-(

Green Hair

The kids got soap paints for the bathtub. Not only did Matt use all of the paints during one bath, Matt thought Julia's hair would look cool if it were green. Obviously, she disagrees.

Mommy's make-up

I should have known something was going on when Matt was being too quiet in the bathroom. I'm not sure what he was pretending to be...I'm thinking a scary tiger.

Thank you Grandma and Tom for the Easter Baskets

Matt really liked this rocket toy...good thing they were only Nerf rockets because Grandma has a lot of fragile things in the living room.

Julia wanted to bring a "few" toys to Grandma's house

Happy Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt in the Backyard

Yet another Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. Matt was usually ten steps ahead of Julia so we had to make sure he only found the blue eggs and Julia got to find the pink eggs. On a couple of occassions, he didn't want to wait for her so he thought he would "help" her by putting the pink eggs in the bowl. Good thing she doesn't mind when Matt "helps" her. We're going to have to find another color for Pumpkins eggs next year...I think I like purple.

More Easter Egg Hunt photos

A fire truck and police car were at the Easter Egg Hunt too. The photo of my kids in the back of a squad car better not be a sign of their future!

Easter Egg Hunt

Although it was a little cold, we decided to try another Easter Egg Hunt. It seems a little cold weather doesn't stop anybody in Minnesota...it was pretty crowded. I'm glad we went to this one...the kids had a great time and collected all sorts of eggs filled with candy of course.

Easter Bunny Photo

I guess it was a good thing we got a picture of Julia all dressed up with a cutout Easter Bunny instead of one in a suit because as you can see, she was not fond of the one we saw at the Easter Egg Hunt. Good news is Matt is no longer afraid of it!

The cows are back

It must be spring because the cows have come back or I guess it is more accurate to say some cows will be in the back. Good thing the kids don't quite understand why the cows look different each year. Julia likes to sit at the window and say "Moo Moo" to them!
